The Challenge

Without access to the original source files, the challenge was to bring buildings and vehicles designed to exist solely in a digital, isometric world into physical reality, where those angles simply don’t play by the same rules.

The Solution

Through a trained artistic eye, calculated trial and error, and hands-on prototyping, the collectable evolved using a technique of checking through the lens of a camera adjusted to the precise angle of the game as seen by the gamer.

The Result

A collectible so precise that, when photographed beside in-game screenshots, fans genuinely mistook it for another image pulled straight from the game. It was later commended by the original game producer Jim Vasella. The packaging was also subjected to the same attention to detail for a premium user experience.

The packaging received the same meticulous attention to detail to ensure a premium user experience. From a gold vinyl logo on the lid to laser-cut foam and an insert emblazoned with the in-game faction insignia. Completing the experience was a bespoke information insert, thoughtfully designed in the visual language of the game’s universe.
