The Challenge
The brief was to design and produce 80 sets of custom keycaps for an Esports event in Germany for a popular online fantasy game.
Each set needed to feature characters and the game logo, presented within a premium presentation box suitable for promotional giveaway. Due to an NDA, actual imagery cannot be shown and the following is produced as a non-commercial fan art portfolio example that shows off the skills and expertise used in a that commission.
The Process
Working from supplied 3D asset files, I led the development and prototyping process to refine the keycaps into a final production-ready design. The outcome balanced visual alignment with the game’s theme while ensuring full compatibility with standard Cherry MX keyboards, a popular choice among customisation-focused gamers.
The Result
All 80 sets were delivered on schedule, with competition participants subsequently sharing the prizes across social media, extending the event’s reach and further promoting both the game and the esports competition.
